The night at the Cable factory

Nobody is in the Cable factory at night because there are only lots of offices. I decided to make exhibitions at night in the Project room (between 10pm and 2am) because I'm living here. For me a place have a life all the time and don't stop this life during off-peak periods.

"Unproductive day"

"Unproductive Day"

Sisä-Hattu Island, Lauttasaari, Helsinki

"Unproductive Day" is a possibility to take a while to look the sea and the city around. It's a possibility to be out of the world during a while.

I met Anna from Chile/Finland and Anna from Poland/Canada.

It is about the possibility of a person-to-person association during 5 minutes or 2 hours in the public or private place.

With Wilfried...
I met Wilfried at the Cable factory two days ago. Wilfried is a publisher of a recent international revue, entirely dedicated to the publication of especially written and unpublished texts written by artists who are now working.  The next morning I thought to a picture of Joseph Koudelka where you can see his common lunch is laid down on a newspaper. The newspaper is like a table-cloth. After I thought about two pictures I take in a park in Helsinki, a bed of a homeless. The bed was only several joined sheets of newspaper.
I thought it is a good idea to give these pictures to Wilfried. Just a material reflexion about the writings support...
Wilfried said me that he slept several times on newspapers in Greece and between motorways...

The Observatory for the finnish landscape -- Robinson hotel

I watch the finnish landscape for several weeks... and I think french people know a "stereotyped" landscape of Finland. I'm creating a observatory for the finnish landscape in a old shack in a tree. This is only the office, because I think the most important work is walks inside the landscape.

4 hours in between 2 pictures.
and the deep silence in between these one ... A space for the sound of the body, the sound of the blood pressure.
And sometimes our voices.
Presence or absence in this island during the night.
